1.What is picture framing?
Picture framing is the process of enclosing and protecting artwork, photographs, or other flat objects between two sheets of glass or transparent plastic within a frame made of wood, metal, or other materials.
2. Why should I frame my pictures?
Framing your pictures not only enhances their appearance but also helps preserve them for the long term. It prevents damage caused by handling, dust, and UV rays, ensuring your cherished memories or valuable artworks stay in pristine condition.
3. What types of frames are available?
We offer two types of frames: wood and foam/plastic frames. Each type has different finishes and styles, allowing you to choose one that complements your artwork and fits your decor.
4. What is the difference between glass and acrylic glazing?
Glass is traditional and provides excellent clarity but can be heavy and breakable. Acrylic (plexiglass) is lightweight, shatter-resistant. It’s often preferred for larger frames or areas with safety concerns.
5. How do I clean the glass/acrylic in the frame?
Use a soft, lint-free cloth and a mild glass cleaner (or a mixture of water and vinegar) to clean the glass or acrylic. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the surface.
6. What are mat boards, and do I need them?
Mat boards are thick, colored boards placed between the artwork and the frame’s glass or acrylic. They create a visual border around the artwork and offer protection by preventing it from touching the glass directly. Matting also adds depth and enhances the overall presentation.
7. How do I measure for a custom frame?
Measure the artwork’s width and height, then add any desired matting allowance. For example, if your artwork is 8×10 inches and you want a 1-inch mat around it, the frame size would be 10×12 inches.
8. How long before my order is ready?
Because of a slew of factors, such as the type of frame, the complexity of the framing job, the availability of materials, and workload at the workshop, our standard fulfillment time is 5-7 days.
9. What’s your payment mode?
Our preferred payment mode is Mpesa. Our Till Number is 5676405.
